She gives him all;
He plays at manhood.
She seeks comfort;
He has his routine of freedom.
He bites her heart
And she finds her voice,
Her hidden dragon.
Resilient monster breaks free,
Rises and flies
To vanquish the heart eater.

That was a good one. With such a few words it evoked a lot for me. Seems like the traditional roles of male vs. female never really account for a woman finding her voice and becoming a dragon. To me, the process is about finding the 5th chakra (voice) for women and the 4th chakra (feelings) for men. Do you think that they will ever get together?
That is a really interesting insight. I hadn’t thought of it that way.
lovely word flow..
very eloquently done!
Love the line “He plays at manhood”. Took me years and years to realise that was what was going on.
love it when i am pulled in enough to read and re-read somebodies writing….this it did!
