Between

between words
lurk
unspoken thoughts

between
his stutters
a world

between
the flowers
flight paths

between mosquito
contrails
irritation

between
the toes
fields of wonder

between
two hearts
joie de vivre

between
two hands
creation claps

  1. Some poetry (some would say the best) is concentrated meaning and words, the reduction process creates avenues for the reader to discover new and different meanings.

I love ‘creation claps’ but would wish to linger on:

    ‘between
    two hearts
    joie de vivre’

rather than the meadows between my toes! 😉

Great poem open to a wide interpretation 🙂

  2. You’ve just poetically nailed the in-between ~ that liminal space of overlap where the waves break over the shoreline & where ‘things’ that did not exist suddenly do, either as sensations or maturing thoughts. Such a tight & sophisticated poem with a final stanza that shines with perfection 🙂
