Oh,I like that you saw them as falcons and the use of light and shadow. Falcons are Type A, take action, while buzzards more opportunistic. Excellente write!
“gloaming” is such an awesome word, I love to see it used in poetry, and then you stacked it with “oscillating double gyres” bringing the vivd landscape of your words to life in my imagination.
Yes the picture gives us a sense of time in flight. Something that is always difficult to capture, but we’re aware of constantly. Great movement in a small poem. Well done
I like the brevity here, strong ending.
The image suggested a tanka to me 🙂
light and shadow caught in time…nice phrase that…learned a new word too…gyre…nice…thank you…smiles.
Gyre is a fabulous word 😉

‘oscillating double gyres’
These suggest a lot of movements, diving and cruising! Makes the verse alive. Great verse, Ma’am!

You created a beautiful image with your words!
Beautiful imagery. We used to see so many Bald Eagles here when we didn’t live in town. Amazing to watch them in free flight glide and soar.
I like the light and shadow caught in time ~
I adore the word ‘gloaming’ too! I think your poem described the photo perfectly. 🙂
You catch the minimalist feel of this image nicely here, marousia, yet endow it also with depth and symbol. Enjoyed it.
oscillating double gyres is really cool
