Remains

Lipstick edges
champagne flutes,
pink sauce crusts
a crystal dish,
melted ice lines
an oyster bowl,
time farewelled
and welcomed,
memories washed
and put away,
another year begins…

  1. Neat how “edges”, “flutes”, “crusts” and “lines” can all be read as both nouns and verbs, how “farewelled” is structured as the mar and “welcomed” as the fresh and clean, how curves and lines run through your piece.

  2. Pink sauce crusts ? interesting !
memories might be where I left my favorite lipstick
I can rarely find it! thanks for visiting, Happy New Year!
