Small Change

Brazen cloud
pushes the moon sliver
to one side

Words floured
and battered
then cut into shape

Veiled in solitude
she restored
her rhythm

Sharp teeth
bit into her mind
swallowing reason

She tripped
into a old honey trap
seeking approval

Negative space
sits pregnant
between words

Fumes of fairy floss
a candy striped tent
nostalgic dreams
a livelihood

Word cobblers
mend lacunae

Icy winds
a tremor
ticket inspectors
Polar winds
airbrushed crow
I shelter
she stands

She stands nude
completely covered
the artist draws
Brief case
on a seat
he sighs
with irritation
she sits

A waft
half remembered
toes stretch
