April Haze

Twilight softly blankets all with dew
Supple wind sings in the black bamboo
Amidst clouds dancing a polonaise
The moon rises crowned in a silver haze

Lovers look into each other’s eyes
Embracing in passionate goodbyes
Their eyes locked in a languorous gaze
The moon rises crowned in a silver haze

Lovers dream of adventures afar
Of their journey in a battered car
Hoping this is not a shallow phase
The moon rises crowned in a silver haze

The water feature bubbles soft refrains
Playfully splashing moon shadow stains
On jade lions and the garden maze
The moon rises crowned in a silver haze
