Melancholy Thirsts

Soft darkness descends
Charcoal clouds swirling by
Vampira stretches.

Crescent moon glows
Pale solar flares mirrored
Vampira hisses.

Silence between sounds
Raindrops feed the thirsty ground
Vampira listens.

Melancholy soul
Howls his despair at the storm
Vampira watches.

He hitches a rope
On a slippery elm bough
Vampira pounces.

Mesmerised he shakes
In the throes of pure ecstasy
Vampira drinks deep.

He devours her blood
Shatters into countless stars
He sees Vampira.

He transforms  swiftly
Vampira soars to the moon
Escapes the Werewolf.
